• Account Information: When you register, we collect personal information via our authentication provider (Firebase Auth). This includes your email address and name as provided by you or your Google Sign-In account.
• Child Profile Information: To personalize your experience, we ask you to provide information about your child, such as their name (or nickname) and birth date. This information is used solely to filter and recommend age-appropriate content.
• Communications: If you contact us directly (e.g., at `support@skillsprouts.co`), we may receive additional information about you, such as your name, email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Data: We may use analytics services (like Firebase Analytics) to collect information about how you use our App, such as the features you use, courses you view, lessons you complete, and content you save.
• Device Data: Information about your mobile device, such as your device model, operating system, and unique device identifiers.

C. Information from Third Parties

• Firebase Authentication: We use Firebase Auth for sign-in. When you sign in with Google, we receive a token from Google which contains your name, email address, and (if you grant permission) your profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password.

2. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we use information collected to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
• Personalize your content: This is the core of our App. We use your child's birth date to calculate their age and show you age-appropriate courses, "Tips of the Day," and "Quotes of the Day."
• Process your In-App Purchases and subscription status through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Respond to your comments and questions and provide customer support.
• Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
• Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience.
• Clean and maintain our cache data to ensure app performance.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations:

• With Service Providers: We share data with third-party vendors who perform services for us, including:
  • Google (Firebase/Google Cloud): For authentication, analytics, and backend hosting (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL).
  • Apple & Google: To process your in-app subscriptions.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as to respond to a subpoena or if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR)

Skill Sprouts is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information *from* children.

The App is designed for use by parents and legal guardians. You, the parent, are responsible for entering information on behalf of your child. We collect your child's name (or nickname) and birth date *from you* for the sole purpose of personalizing the content as described in this policy. This information is not shared or sold.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without parental consent, please contact us immediately at `support@skillsprouts.co` so we can take corrective action.

5. Your Data Rights

You have control over your information:

• Child Profiles: You can edit or delete your child profiles at any time within the App's "Manage Profiles" settings.
• Account Deletion: You can delete your entire account at any time from the "Account" screen. This action is permanent and will delete your account and all associated data, including child profiles and course progress.
• Cache: You can clear all locally cached data on your device using the "Clear Cache" button in the "Account" screen.

6. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the data you provide to us, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of this policy.
